Poem inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh

Thich Nhat Hanh wrote in The Miracle of Mindfulness:

“People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don’t even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child—our own two eyes. All is a miracle.”

Below is a short poem I wrote after finishing The Art of Mindful Living:

You may see a bee gathering nectar,
You may see a flower shaken by the wind,
You may see a star shooting in the sky,
You may see the sunlight shining through a leaf,
Only if you pause, breathe and smile.
