Yoga Therapy is a holistic approach that encompass the physical, breathing, emotional and spiritual levels. A set of tools and techniques, mindfully selected to address your specific situation, in order to empower you to progress towards improved health and well-being.
Yoga Therapy assists individuals with various conditions such as cancer (support & recovery), auto-immune, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological diseases, and endocrine and metabolic disorders (see FAQ)
In the context of Parkinson’s Disease, the goal is to slow down the progress of the disease while maintaining and improving the current functionality.

How does it work
It all start with a consultation. Schedule a convenient time for me to call you. This complimentary 20 minutes consultation (via Zoom or phone) will be the opportunity to get clear on your needs, and discover how Yoga Therapy can support you.
Next, you’ll begin with a Starter Program of 3 private yoga therapy sessions and we’ll coordinate a time to meet at your home. The first session lasts up to 90 minutes and includes:
- Intake: Inquiring and assessing your health history, current treatments and medications, current physical, mental and emotional condition, and understanding your health and wellness goals.
- Yoga Therapy Practice: Each practice is tailored to suit your specific needs, capabilities, goals, and life circumstances.
- Customized home-practice handout: You will be provided an accompanying diagram of the practice to be done at home in between our sessions.
After the first month of 3 sessions, we assess and evaluate the level of additional support you need. You’ll move to a Longevity Program of 12 private yoga therapy sessions scheduled once or twice a week for the next 4 months.
Parkinson’s Disease is a progressive disease and over the course of our work together you will learn tools and techniques to safely maintain & improve your mobility, reduce anxiety & brain fog, enhance your sleep (length & quality) and overall become able to navigate through the symptoms as they come up.
Your personalized home practice may include:
- diet & lifestyle recommendations,
- breathing techniques,
- individualized physical movements,
- deep tissue body work,
- meditation & relaxation practice,
- use of sounds…
You will receive ongoing one-one-one support to ensure your consistent progress towards your wellness goals.
Yoga Therapy is a complementary system of health, not an alternative one. It supports and works in conjunction with your normal medical treatments, and I ask that continue your personal health routine as suggested by your doctor or medical professional.
